It's temporary winter at AB collector publishing for unsolicited submissions. Not freezing exactly [please read below], but a goodly amount of snow.

Though our production schedule is essentially booked till 2009 inclusive, we usually respond to unsolicited works of poetry, short stories, drama, original literary monographs [in at least two senses], and other serious nonfiction.

Within certain limits we advise and edit against a fee. Occasionally we translate. Our main published language is English, but in special contexts we consider French and German submissions.

We are a significant peripheral publisher, with a mandate to encourage young first-time authors, or ageless one-time authors. We also take a special interest in Canadian kunsthandwerk [craft and/as art] themes and encourage original art work for our book covers and/or illustrations.

We do not accept e-mail submissions. We do encourage ten-to-fifteen page hardcopy project proposals instead of complete works.

We endeavour to respond to submissions within six to seven months of receipt. If ABcp declines publication of submitted work, materials will be returned if accompanied by SASE.
